In today’s digital world more and more people are creating original work at a rapid pace. However, these increases in technology come with a price, increased theft of copyrighted materials. When you create an original piece of work you automatically own the copyright to it. If you don’t have it officially registered though however, it can make it difficult to get compensation for your work if it is violated or redistributed commercially without your consent. But, if you have the appropriate licensing, you can protect yourself and open the door to many creative opportunities for yourself as well as others.
I suggest going on to the Creative Commons website and fill out a short form that will produce the license you need based on your needs.
After this, you can use one of the Creative Commons many partners to host your piece for little to no cost!
